Case Consultation

Clinical Consultation for Professionals
Eating Disorder Case Support & Specialist Guidance

Are you working with a patient or client who may be struggling with disordered eating, body image concerns, chronic dieting, binge eating, restrictive patterns, or compensatory behaviors — and you would benefit from specialized input?

Jennifer offers clinical consultation for therapists, physicians, dietitians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, psychiatrists, school counselors, and other treatment team members who want expert guidance on eating disorder–related cases.

Eating disorders are complex, multifaceted conditions that often require coordinated, informed care. Consultation provides a space for thoughtful case discussion, diagnostic clarification, and evidence-informed treatment planning.

Who This Is For

This consultation may be helpful if you:

  • Suspect an eating disorder but feel unsure about diagnostic presentation.

  • Are managing medical or psychiatric concerns alongside disordered eating behaviors.

  • Have a patient presenting with binge eating, restriction, purging, or compulsive exercise.

  • Notice body image distress complicating mood, trauma, or anxiety treatment.

  • Feel stuck or uncertain about next clinical steps.

  • Want guidance on level of care decisions or referral pathways.

  • Would like support collaborating across disciplines.

What We Can Work On

Consultation may include:

  • Diagnostic clarification and differential diagnosis.

  • Risk assessment considerations and level of care planning.

  • Treatment planning and case conceptualization.

  • Coordination of care across disciplines.

  • Navigating ambivalence, shame, and resistance.

  • Integrating eating disorder treatment with trauma, mood disorders, ADHD, or medical concerns.

  • Intuitive eating and non-diet frameworks.

  • Compassion-focused and somatic-informed approaches.

  • Ethical considerations and scope of practice.

  • Resources for both provider and patient.

This is collaborative professional consultation. It is not supervision, medical care, or therapy for the patient.
