Meet Jennifer

Jennifer Nelson-Tripathi, LCSW

Founder & Clinical Director

I founded Reflecting Pool Counseling with a clear vision: to create a specialized, affirming space where women struggling with food, body image, and self-worth could receive thoughtful, expert care.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) providing telehealth services to adult women (ages 21+) in Oregon and North Carolina. I am also finalizing my Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) training through the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP), a credential that reflects advanced clinical training, consultation, and expertise in the treatment of eating disorders and disordered eating.

My clinical focus centers on eating disorders, emotional eating, chronic restriction, body image distress, perfectionism, and the development of self-compassion. I work at the intersection of trauma, cultural messaging, identity, and nervous system regulation, recognizing that our relationship with food and body is deeply complex and rarely about the food itself. I have lived experience of and an interest in working with women with binge eating disorder, though it is certainly not a qualifying criterion in working with me.

In addition to providing therapy, I serve as a licensed clinical supervisor and educator. I provide supervision to developing clinicians who wish to build competency mental health treatment. I am deeply committed to raising the standard of care in this specialty area and mentoring clinicians to practice ethically, skillfully, and compassionately.

As the practice continues to grow, my role includes both direct clinical work and overseeing the development of high-quality services, including group therapy, comprehensive eating disorder assessments, and clinician supervision.
