Supervision
Supervision for Pre-Licensed Social Workers
Oregon and North Carolina
I offer clinical supervision for pre-licensed social workers in Oregon and North Carolina who are working toward independent licensure. I am a Certified Clinical Supervisor with both state regulatory boards and am approved to provide supervision hours toward licensure requirements.
My supervision services are best suited for clinicians who:
Intend to work in private practice or group practice settings.
Plan to provide direct outpatient mental health services.
Have a special interest in women’s mental health (though this is not required).
Are drawn to working in the eating disorder field (though this is not required).
Whether you are early in your post-graduate journey or refining your clinical voice, supervision is a space to deepen your skills, build confidence, and grow into the clinician you want to become.
Individual Supervision
Individual supervision offers personalized, in-depth support tailored to your clinical development. This format allows us to focus closely on your cases, your strengths, your areas of growth, and your professional goals.
Benefits of Individual Supervision
Focused attention on your clinical work and decision-making.
Direct feedback on case conceptualization and treatment planning.
Support navigating ethical dilemmas and professional boundaries.
Guidance in building confidence and clinical identity.
Personalized integration of theory into real-world practice.
Mentorship around private practice or group practice pathways.
Core Areas of Focus
In supervision, we will work on:
Case conceptualization and diagnostic clarity.
Treatment planning and measurable goals.
Ethical practice and documentation standards.
Risk assessment and crisis management.
Therapeutic relationship and use of self.
Developing your theoretical orientation.
Managing countertransference and burnout.
My primary clinical frameworks include Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Humanistic therapy. I also support clinicians working from a range of modalities and help you strengthen your chosen approach with clinical depth and integrity.
Group Supervision
Group supervision offers a collaborative, dynamic learning environment. Groups are intentionally kept small to ensure each clinician has space to present cases, ask questions, and receive meaningful feedback.
Benefits of Group Supervision
Cost savings compared to individual supervision hours.
Exposure to diverse cases and clinical perspectives.
Peer case review and collaborative problem-solving.
Shared experiences navigating licensure requirements.
Community and reduced isolation during the licensure process.
Learning from others’ clinical growth and challenges.
Group supervision allows you to hear how others conceptualize cases, manage difficult sessions, and integrate theory into practice. Many clinicians find that witnessing peers’ journeys normalizes their own doubts and accelerates professional growth.
Groups run throughout the week at various times to accommodate different schedules.
Next Steps
If you are interested in either individual or group supervision, I invite you to schedule a consultation. This conversation allows us to discuss your professional goals, review state requirements, and determine whether we are a good supervision fit.
Supervision is more than signing hours. It is an investment in the kind of clinician you are becoming. I look forward to supporting you in that journey.
